
Cable & Wireless Seychelles and Hytera Sign MoU at MWC25 to Strengthen Digital Transformation Across Seychelles

Barcelona, Spain, Tuesday 4th 2025- Cable & Wireless Seychelles (CWS), the nation’s pioneering telecommunications provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hytera Communications (SZSE: 002583), a global leader in professional communications technologies. This strategic partnership aims to accelerate digital transformation across Seychelles' enterprise and government sectors by delivering innovative, resilient communication solutions.
The MoU outlines a framework for advancing Seychelles' digital landscape through a series of key initiatives. A primary focus of the collaboration is the development of the Seychelles Emergency Communication Redundant Network, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity during critical situations, including natural disasters and national emergencies.
Additionally, the partnership will deliver state-of-the-art communication solutions tailored to sectors such as public safety, energy, transportation, and tourism. Hytera will provide cutting-edge Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) devices, Mission Critical Services (MCX) core networks, and cloud-based platforms, which will integrate seamlessly with CWS’s robust 4G/5G network and support future private network expansion.
The MoU was signed at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona by Mr Naadir Hassan, Chief Executive Officer at CWS, Mr Oliver Fock-Tave, Associate Director of Products & Services and Information Systems at CWS, and Mr Tony Wang, Business Development Director at Hytera. The agreement was formalised at Hytera’s exhibit, which featured its mission-critical technology portfolio, including advanced 4G/5G, MCX, PoC solutions, as well as Body-worn Cameras (BWC) and Digital Evidence Management (DEM) systems.
